CRRT Filter Sets
Baxter CRRT filter sets maximize simplicity and efficiency
Each Baxter filter set can be used with all CRRT modalities and with any anticoagulant, so there is no need to list multiple types on the order set or to keep several types in inventory. You can even change CRRT modality during therapy without changing the set.
Suitable for all CRRT prescriptions
Each CRRT filter set works with all CRRT modalities, and any anticoagulant protocol giving you flexibility to meet patient needs and create operational efficiencies.
Unique clearance mechanism
Baxter’s AN69 membrane has a unique mechanism of action that adsorbs1 the higher molecular weight toxins that can be present in your patients with AKI.
Exclusively for PrisMax and Prismaflex
Engineered to work with PrisMax system and Prismaflex system, Baxter’s CRRT filter sets are bar-coded for set recognition with step-by-step setup guidance supporting reduced downtime and lasting therapy proficiency.2
See the simplicity and efficiency for yourself
Simplify therapy set-up and management
Baxter CRRT filters are permanently pre-connected to color-coded tubing lines for easy set-up and accurate connection between lines and bags.3 - 6 Each set is a closed system, minimizing setup steps and reducing the potential for touch contamination.3 - 6
The pre-connected filter sets have a specifically designed deaeration chamber to help remove air without user intervention, eliminate the blood and air interface, and reduce blood clot formation.2
Optimize operational efficiencies in your ICU
Baxter CRRT filter sets help reduce inventory requirements and optimize operational efficiencies because each set can work with all CRRT modalities and any anticoagulant protocol.7 Each filter set is bar coded for set recognition on Prismaflex system and PrisMax system with setup guidance to support reduced therapy downtime and offer lasting therapy proficiency.2
Meet clinical needs across CRRT modalities
With clinical needs across CRRT modalities with a range of options that work with all CRRT modalities and any anticoagulant protocols, Baxter CRRT filter sets offer you choices in membranes to meet various clinical needs.
Membrane options to fit your patients’ needs
Baxter CRRT filter sets include options for adult patients and for low body weight patients with lower extracorporeal blood volumes.
You can choose either the industry standard filter membrane (polysulfone) or the Baxter-exclusive AN69 membrane, which has a unique mechanism of action that adsorbs1 the higher molecular weight toxins that can be present in patients with AKI.
AN69 membrane for AKI attracts large molecules
Patients with AKI can have higher molecular weight toxins present in their blood. The AN69 membrane has a unique mechanism of action so it can adsorb1 these higher molecular weight toxins present in addition to small- and middle-sized molecules.
The negative charge of the AN69 membrane allows positively charged molecules to bind to it. Also, the distribution of sulfonate groups throughout the membrane structure allows adsorption to occur on the surface and across the whole membrane (see graphic on the right), which results in stable membrane performance over time.1
AN69 Adsorption for AKI: Unique filter function removes higher molecular-weight toxins that may be present in AKI

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
The Prismaflex sets are indicated for use only with the Prismaflex control unit or with the PrisMax control unit (in countries where PrisMax is cleared or registered) in providing continuous fluid management and renal replacement therapies. The system is intended for patients who have acute renal failure, fluid overload, or both.
This sets are intended for use in the following veno-venous therapies: SCUF; CVVH; CVVHD; CVVHDF.”
The PrisMax control unit is intended for:
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) for patients with acute renal failure and/or fluid overload.
• Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) therapy for patients with diseases where removal of plasma components is indicated.
• Hemoperfusion (HP) for patients with conditions where immediate removal of substances by adsorption is indicated.
• Extracorporeal CO2 Removal (ECCO2R) for patients with conditions where extracorporeal elimination of carbon dioxide is indicated.
The Prismaflex control unit is intended for:
